The Tatted Planner
Accessibility Statement
Effective August 17, 2026 · Last reviewed August 17, 2026
The Tatted Planner LLC is committed to making thetattedplanner.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Inclusion is the foundation this business was built on, and that has to include how people reach us online.
If anything on this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it. Email privacy@thetattedplanner.com and we will help you directly.
Our commitment
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Accessibility is not a one-time project. As we add photography, update pages, and publish new work, we review those changes against the same standard.
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Partially conformant means that some parts of this site do not yet fully meet the standard. We have identified the gaps, we are actively correcting them, and we have listed them below rather than waiting until the work is finished. We would rather tell you what is broken than let you discover it.
What we have done so far
Measures currently in place:
- A commissioned accessibility review of every page on this site, completed August 2026
- Written image descriptions for event photography, so screen reader users can access our portfolio
- Text labels on contact form fields, rather than placeholder text that disappears as you type
- Visible keyboard focus indicators, so you can see where you are when navigating without a mouse
- A privacy-preserving spam filter on our contact form that does not require solving visual image puzzles
- Accessibility included in our review process before new pages are published
Known limitations
We are aware of the following issues and are working to resolve them. Target completion: [MONTH YEAR].
- Gallery image descriptions. Some photographs in our gallery do not yet have descriptions that convey what is in the image. We are rewriting all of them.
- Page structure. Headings on some pages are not in a logical order, which makes it harder to navigate by heading using a screen reader.
- Unlabeled links. Our footer logo links to the homepage but is not clearly described to screen readers.
- Color contrast. Some text may not have enough contrast against its background to be comfortably readable. We are auditing every color pairing on the site.
- Form error messages. If a contact form submission fails, the reason is not clearly announced to screen reader users.
If you run into something not listed here, please tell us. We would rather know.

Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this site. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us:
- The page or section where you ran into the problem
- What you were trying to do
- The browser, device, and any assistive technology you were using, if you know it
Email privacy@thetattedplanner.com. We aim to respond within five business days. If we cannot fix something right away, we will tell you what we are doing about it and give you a way to get what you need in the meantime.
Compatibility
This site is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, used alongside assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, and speech recognition software.
This site may not work reliably with browsers more than two versions out of date, or with assistive technology released before 2018.
How we assessed this site
We evaluated this site using a combination of automated testing tools, manual keyboard navigation testing, and a page-by-page review conducted in August 2026. Automated tools alone catch only a portion of accessibility barriers, so manual review is part of our process.
Changes to this statement
We review this statement as we complete remediation work and at least once a year. When we make changes, we update the review date at the top of this page.
